The summer has flown by, and I hope that it was as wonderful for all of you as it was for me. After traveling the United States and visiting some amazing places, I can truly say, like Dorothy, (and I was actually in Kansas) that “there’s no place like home!” But our Pre-School home has undergone incredible changes this summer that will surely amaze and delight you. With new floors, paint, ceiling tiles, and two new classrooms, we have undergone a fabulous make-over! Our maintenance staff has worked their fingers to the bone to make this happen, and we are thankful and thrilled! We are truly appreciative of the support and guidance of our Temple president, Adrienne Hoffman and the Board, who truly love our Pre-School.

I am very pleased to introduce the teachers of our five day three year old class. They may be new to some of our parents, but they are not new to us. We welcome back our lead teacher, Carla Price, who was a frequent and favorite substitute before she began a full time teaching position at Beth El. We are delighted that she is here, and that her very experienced assistant is Phyllis Stier, who has also been a regular substitute for us for the past few years. I know that they are as excited as we are for the start of the school year!

We are also excited about our new parent-child program called “Pre-school Prep”. Toddlers between the ages of 16 months and 2 years and their care-taker can enjoy a fun-filled, action-packed program twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays that will help them develop their language and social skills. We are still enrolling for this class as well as for all of our parent child programs from birth onward so call or e-mail us for details.

As you can see this is going to be an incredible year, and we can’t wait to see the look of wonder and joy on the faces of our pre-schoolers and their parents as they walk through our spanking new hallways. Jeanie and I, and the entire Pre-School staff wish you a very happy, healthy, sweet New Year!
